Additional sidewalks and bus stops coming into view and clearing and treating of key areas are still work in progress and we break ice while trying to avoid additional damage to roads, sidewalks, paths, turfs and plants.  Possible weather tonight and cold temps over the weekend might curtail additional progress until temps get warmer.  Please use caution.

February 3rd through February 5th

Work continues on areas throughout the park.   Snowcrete, reflowing by others and extreme temps have made cleanup of this storm very difficult. We appreciate everyone's patience as we try to open up safe passages.   Thank you

Post Storm Update:  January 27th:  Noon

Road Status:

• Mark Center Drive - City of Alexandria has plowed and treated several times.  Some narrow lanes.  Watch intersections and entrances
• Mark Center Drive - Loop road behind parking structure.  Plowed and treated several times.  -Will come back and get area under walkway as well as snow pushed into the drive lane from 4900 property.  Please push off the road and not into the main drive lanes.
• Highview Lane- Plowed and treated.  Still working on clean-up efforts.   Looking much better.  Will come back and clean up.
• Rayburn Ave - Plowed and treated.  Needed some additional work in the areas of the road that does not see sun.

Note:  Property owners are responsible for clearing your parking lots and sidewalks.

Please have patience as City of Alexandria, VDOT and Mark Center contractors get to the roads.  With frigid temps this will be a multi-day effort.

Storm ended late last night and brought significant snow and ice to our region.

Road as of 8:00am  January 26th.
